2021-2022 Officer Team

Hi everyone! I'm Kusum and I'm a senior this year. Hopefully you've met me by now, but if not, I'd love to get to know you! A little about me: my life mission is to help those in need, I've donated over 5 feet of my hair, and you can always find me taking time out of my day to help someone. I hope to pursue a career in cardiovascular surgery because of my family history. I love philosophy and psychology, but I also enjoy doing anything creative in my free time. If you ever see me around, feel free to stop by and say hello!

For those of y’all who don’t know me all too well, hello! I’m Akshay and I’ll be your vice president this year. I’ve loved being a part of HOSA as both an officer and a member in these past couple of years and I can’t wait to bring y’all that same excitement. I love to help others whenever and however I can and I hope you guys can grow to feel free to ask me for anything you might need during the year. When I find the time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, whether that be through video games or just hanging out. My two adorable dachshunds also like to keep me company when my friends can’t. I’m generally a more social person, which has made the past year a little difficult, but I’m super excited to be able to interact with all of y’all and help Dulles HOSA prosper.

Hi! I’m Sofia and I’m a senior at Dulles. I’m so excited to be your secretary this year! I’ve had a passion for helping people since I was little, and HOSA has helped me to do so much to serve the community. In my free time, I love to bake, play the viola, and hang out with my dog. I’m looking forward to another great year at DHS HOSA!

Hey y'all I'm Shreia! I got my passion for medicine from watching my grandpa help countless others with the same passion and want to continue on with his work. Few things about me: I am also very passionate about dance, soccer, and Destination Imagination, which I have been competing in for almost 10 years. I'm also very committed to Grey's Anatomy-- I have somehow been able to watch the whole series three times! My dream is to travel the world someday, and I can't wait to work with HOSA this year:)

Hi! My name is Alisa Ali and I'm extremely excited to be a Co-Volunteer Coordinator for HOSA this year. Volunteering has always been something I'm passionate about which is why I consistently have been helping out with kids with disabilities and a campaign for fire safety and burn prevention. I also am a member of the Dulles Debate Team and love listening to music and baking!

Hi! I’m Manju and I’m a co-volunteer coordinator this year at HOSA. I’ve always been passionate about healthcare because I grew up frequently injuring myself during bike rides. Fun facts!-I’m a dancer ( I’ve been dancing for 11 years), I create art in different media’s, and I volunteer through different organizations. I also love horror and dystopian like tv shows-especially the society on Netflix. I’m so excited to work on volunteering events at HOSA and bring new opportunities this year!

Hey everyone! My name is Akshara Viruthagiri , and I am going to be in charge of competition in HOSA this year. I have always been interested in the healthcare industry , and being a part of HOSA has only strengthened my pre-existing passion for helping others. In my free time, you can find me listening to KPOP, planning in my gazillion planners, or reading a book that sparks my imagination. I can not wait to meet everyone next year!

Hi everyone, I'm Sanjana! I'm an incoming junior here at Dulles, and I'm so excited to be a part of the HOSA officer team this year. A little bit about me: I love reading, singing, and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite food is all things Chipotle! Hey guys! I’m Ivan and I’m a senior for this school year. I’m excited to be able to work with the HOSA team again and I hope we can have fun during our events. I really enjoy hanging out with friends, volunteering, and playing video games. HOSA is very important to me because I hope to work in the medical field in the future and this club is like the foundation to my dream. I’m really excited to work with all of y’all and I’m really looking forward towards a great year!

Hey I'm Joshua. I love to help my local community and spending time with my friends. I value God, Country, and Family. I like to go to the shooting range and sleeping (both of which I do not get to do enough) and hands down the best music genre is Classic Rock. I'll treat everyone equally no matter your background and feel free to come to me if you ever want to talk!

Hi! My name is Kyler and I'm a junior at DHS. I'm very excited to be the historian for HOSA, and I'm looking forward to working with everyone this year! Having been a member of HOSA over the past two years, I have been able to gain a much better understanding of the significance of the healthcare field in our daily lives while learning more about careers in the medical field. I’ve also participated in hospital doctor shadowing in the Dominican Republic where I learned to suture, insert IVs, make casts, etc., and observe patients in the ER/OR. Through these experiences, I have really developed a passion for medicine, and I aspire to work in the medical field in the future. I hope to meet everyone in-person this year and make some great memories with y’all!

Hi! My name is Kelvin Phung, and I'm currently a senior! I'm so excited to be a part of the officer team this year, and I hope to be able to serve you all dutifully and earnestly. Having been a part of HOSA for the past three years, it's so rewarding to be able to work towards bettering this already amazing community that I'm so passionate about. On the off chance that I do get some free time, I enjoy writing, watching TV shows and movies, hanging out with my friends and dogs, and, of course, creating art! I hope to see you all around at our poster-making events and at our other volunteer activities!

Hello! My name is Omar and I am now a Junior at DHS! This is my second year being a HOSA Officer! Some of my favorite hobbies include Painting, Playing Basketball, and Boxing! I love being creative and I also enjoy getting to meet new people. I aspire to work in the Medical Field one day as a Neurologist!
