"The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience."

About Us!

Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) is a nationally recognized student-led organization that promotes career opportunities in the healthcare industry & to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people. HOSA is also integrated with Dulles High School’s health science education & curriculum programs: Principles of Health science, Medical Terminology, Health science theory, Anatomy & Physiology. Our health science educators work alongside the career technology education (CTE) program to provide students with training far beyond the technical skills needed for future entry into the healthcare field. Our mission is to “empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience” (HOSA). At Dulles High School, HOSA is the representative medical organization that shapes our students into future health professionals through our core values of leadership, learning, service, and innovation. Each year, we highly encourage students to compete in HOSA’s competitive events program that lasts throughout the first semester. Throughout the year, we also engage in service activities: cancer awareness activities, donations to local hospitals, etc. As the representative medical club, we try our best to engage students outside of HOSA and to promote awareness about illnesses affecting our community.
